Last night was awesome!!! It was great to see students, industry professionals and consumers come together to discuss Fit Technology in the Denim Market.
The Fit Team from Good American joined us and shared some fun facts about what they have learned over the last 18 months and their road map to continued success for the business - including cool marketing activations like "pop-up" shops and creating a new size based on the demand and success they've seen this year! Since launching in October 2016, the brand has been completely focused on fixing fit as their first initiative and done a great job of solving that problem for women! For more information on Good American, check out this post on Luxor+Finch.
We also hosted Shawnte' Moore, Beauty Buyer and FIDM alumnus, fashion educators in the LA area, tech investors, and small business owners/designers in the industry. There was a special demo by iSize, a fit technology and research company collecting the largest sample size of fit data for customers in North America featuring data on market share, body composition and fit specs. The conversation covered everything from fit as a customer challenge and barrier to online conversion to design and social justice issues...overall a great night of networking, discussion and collaboration!
Next stop - New York City! Stay tuned for more details on an upcoming industry mixer for fashion professionals in the New York area, this March. You won't want to miss out.
